Simeon Courtie
Simeon Courtie trained to be a printing press manufacturer before joining BBC Northampton to begin a career in radio. From there he secured a role interviewing pop stars for The O Zone, the music magazine produced by CBBC. In January 1995 he moved over to host CBBC on BBC PRIME - the satellite service for Europe.
Simeon soon appeared on terrestrial screens too where he presented afternoon, birthday, holiday morning and weekend links and launched both the Saturday Aardvark and Breakfast Show strands. After leaving Simeon moved to ITV where he hosted CITV shows WOW and You‘ll Never Believe It. He currently works as a radio presenter for BFBS - the British Forces Broadcasting Service - and writes comedy.
We met up with Simeon to discuss his time on Children’s BBC. He reminisces about recording the “I’ll Be There For You” April Fools Day spoof single, hiding his “run words” and getting stuck in a lift and completely missing the birthdays as a result!

Andi Peters
Andi Peters is a Londoner who landed his first TV job at just 18 years of age, fronting the Thames children's series Freetime. After a short stint looking after the links on Children's ITV, a switch to the BBC followed, where he spent four years on Children's BBC presenting and directing, and forming a memorable partnership with Edd The Duck in the afternoons.
Progression to Saturday mornings followed with three years on Live & Kicking.
He then fronted The Noise for LWT while developing a production career, producing Gladiators: Train 2 Win for CITV and creating and commissioning T4 at Channel 4. More recently he's been Executive Producer of Top Of The Pops and famously broke his ankle in Dancing On Ice with Torvill and Dean on ITV1.
I caught up with Andi in London. He talks about his time on CBBC, of offending Blue Peter, of causing "a huge hoohah" in Northern Ireland and of trying to speak coherently to 12 million viewers while his Director was on the phone to Dixons, ordering a video recorder.

Simon Parkin
Simon Parkin grew up in Manchester and worked on no less than three hospital radio stations through his teenage years before landing his first professional radio engagement at Radio Tees.
Children's BBC followed soon afterwards. Simon arrived in December 1987 as presenter of the Christmas holiday morning links. During his time at Children's BBC Simon introduced almost all variants of the service, including afternoons in the Broom Cupboard, Birthdays in the morning, Now On Two and three seasons of BFT.
Simon left Children's BBC in February 1992. He became GMTV's children's presenter from the station's launch, fronting a host of shows including It's Not and Parkin's In.... In more recent years, Simon returned to radio, hosting shows on a number of stations including RealRadio, Bath FM, BBC Radio Wales and BBC Somerset Sound, where he can still be heard on Saturday mornings. Now he's back on TV, and I caught up with him at ITV Westcountry in Plymouth...
